There is a bible scripture (Habukkuk 2:2) that generally says:
Write down the vision and make it clear so that when it’s read,
the reader can understand and run with it.
In January, I went to a one day urban retreat at Tranquil Space in Washington, D.C., during which we did some art journaling. We were told to choose a theme for the year and draw or paste words and pictures that would support that theme. I really couldn’t think of anything. The only thing that popped into my head was the word TRAVEL.
I had no trips planned. I had no idea I would be moving this year. There was really no specific reason this word came to mind, but it did, and nothing else was coming up. So, okay, I pasted photos of Greece and other travel spots into my journal along with words like “travel, freedom, adventure” and the like.
Well, I didn’t know it, but I was writing the vision.
Last week, when visiting a church in Westlake, Ohio, the pastor (during his sermon) said:
“You’re a vision going someplace to happen.”
I’ll say. Even being a woman of faith, this is a little unbelievable. Time to run with it.
