A caregiver is someone who provides help to another person in need, such as a family member, neighbor, or friend caring for someone requiring help with basic daily tasks while living with a long-term illness, complications from a fall, or a condition such as dementia.
If you or someone you know fits that description, you may want to listen to The Caregiver Hour – a fantastic resource for information and encouragement for caregivers. The show airs weekly in Tampa Bay, but you can listen live or to recordings of previous broadcasts on thecaregiverhour.com.
I’ll be a guest on the next show – coming up on Monday. We’ll be discussing compassion and caregivers in the workplace. I’m looking forward to sharing some simple and easy ways for caregivers to let go of stress and anxiety.
Visit the show’s website at www.thecaregiverhour.com to listen live at 11:00 a.m. (eastern) on Monday, July 5, 2010. Or, if you miss the live show, listen to the podcast afterward.
