498 Steps Above Bologna

There is a theme developing for this Spring Trip. The first week, I climbed to the top of St. Peter’s in Vatican City. The second week, I climbed to the top of the bell tower at the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence. And now, here we are in week three and I have climbed the 498 steps of the Torre degli Asinelli for sky-high views above Bologna, Italy.

After coming back down to earth, I decided to take an open top bus tour to see some of the areas that are a little farther from my apartment. There were headphones that give you the history and current day use of everything you see along the way. It was very interesting and I was able to hop on and off at a couple of spots. It was pretty economical and worth the time and money.
